Biography: Maureen has been Assistant Professor and outreach instructor in Ketchikan since Janurary, 2003. She has been a nurse for over 30 years, working in a variety of clinical settings. After working as an LPN and Associate degree RN for 9 years, she received her BSN from Seattle University in 1982, then an MBA from Maryhurst University,Oregon in 1999. Currently, she is a student in the Family Nurse Practitioner track of the Master's in Nursing program at UAA. Southeast Alaska is home for her and her family, having lived in Sitka and Ketchikan for 9 years. Helping others succeed in and love nursing is an important personal mission for her, after having a great career with many opportunities in nursing.
