Education: BA in Finance from University of Illinois Master of Accounting Science from University of Illinois
Biography: Professor Dye has over twenty years experience teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels and has won several teaching awards. She has practical work experience in accounting with Deloitte, a large international CPA firm, and has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1979. Janet also has consulting experience which utilized here finance background in the areas of small business venture capital arrangement, expert witness on asset valuation of closely held companies, income tax, and financial and estate planning. With the growth in the distance business programs, Professor Dye now teaches most of her classes via the web, including Principles of Financial and Mangerial Accounting, Income Tax, Advanced Managerial Accounting, and the MBA Managerial Accounting course. Although torturing her students is her main source of enjoyment, Janet also enjoys mysteries, logic problems, and jigsaw puzzles, larger than any sane person would attempt.
