1990 - 1996. Graduate work in psycholinguistics and theoretical linguistics. PhD dissertation: The Minimal Word Hypothesis: A Segmentation Strategy.


University of Alabama - Birmingham
1996 - 1997. Post-doctoral work in second language acquisition.

Past research included speech perception and production, theoretical phonology, artificial neural networks, and second language acquisition. Now, I tend to research fishing holes, hunting grounds, construction techniques, alternative energy systems, diesel engine maintenance and anything having to do with sailboats and cruising.

I was born, and lived a bunch of places until I finally got it right and came to Southeast.
