Portfolio Assessment

Self Reflection

After posting the item and collecting reviews, you can add your own reflection to the item. To add your self reflection, open the page for the item and click on the Add/Edit Reflection button located in the Self Reflection section of the item page as seen in the image. The Add/Edit Reflection text box opens allowing you to enter your comments about the item. Click on the Save Reflection button to post your reflection.

Instructor Item Assessment

Once you have posted an item and collected reviews, the instructor for the course can add their feedback and give you a grade for your work. The grade can be directly linked to the UASOnline gradebook by the instructor. Whenever you create a new class item the default settings list the course instructor as the grader for that item. Once the instructor has posted their assessment of the item you may view it by opening the item page.

Summative Portfolio Evaluations

Summative evaluations allow an instructor to give a grade for portfolio as a whole. When assessing a portfolio, you may provide narrative feedback to the student. Assessment feedback will only be visible to portfolio authors and portfolio graders. If the portfolio is related to a class, you will have the opportunity to link the portfolio assessment to one or more items in the course gradebook. Linking to the gradebook provides a convenient way to enter and review student grades.
