Creating Breeze Live Meetings

First sign into the Breeze server at the following URL

http://breeze5.uas.alaska.edu.


To open the meeting creation wizard, click on the meeting tab and then click on the New Meeting button. This will open the meeting creation wizard.

Entering the Meeting Information

You do not need to enter any further information to create a meeting. Click on the Finish button. A new page opens showing the URL for the meeting (see image below). You may now copy and paste the URL in UASOnline to give students access to the meeting.You may also enter the meeting room at this time by clicking on the enter meeting room button.

Locking the Meeting Room

If you wish to prevent participants from entering the meeting room before the meeting begins, you must lock the meeting by stopping it. This setting can be found in the meeting room itself.

To stop the meeting perform the following steps:

When you have entered your Meeting click on the Meeting in the menu bar located at the top of the screen. Select the Place Participants on Hold option from the dropdown menu. A dialog box opens allowing you to enter a message to display to the participants when they try to enter the meeting room. Enter the message and click the OK button. A small red hold icon now appears in the menu bar near the upper right hand corner of the meeting window.

To start the meeting click on red hold icon, and click on the Start Meeting Link. The meeting room will now be open for the participants. Participants who try to enter the room before the meeting is started can leave the browser window open. When the meeting begins, the meeting room will then open without any further action by the participant.
