RESPONSIBILITIES
Academic Dishonesty is willful, intentional fraud and deception to improve a grade or obtain course credit. It includes all student behavior intended to gain unearned academic advantage by fraudulent and/or deceptive means.
Plagiarism is considered a form of academic dishonesty and requires notification of the Campus Judicial Officer, Tish Griffin Satre 796-6529, and disciplinary action.
Student Rights & Responsibilities. The purpose of this regulation is to further define the University of Alaska's Student Code of Conduct (Code), and to establish a framework for the enforcement of the Code. These procedures, and their elaboration in UAS rules and procedures, will allow for fact-finding and decision-making in the context of an educational community; encourage students to accept responsibility for their actions; and provide procedural safeguards to protect the rights of students and the interests of the University.
