The Chancellor is the Chief Executive Officer of the University. The Provost is the Chief Academic Officer of the University. The Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services is the Chief Operating Officer of the University. The Vice Chancellor for Student Services and Enrollment Management is the chief of student services and student recruitment. Chancellor's Executive Council: The Council consists of the Provost, Vice Chancellor of Administrative Services and the Vice Chancellor of Student Services and Enrollment Management, who set the overall strategic direction for the regional institution.
Chancellor’s Cabinet: The Cabinet serves as a policy and review body, making recommendations to the Chancellor regarding regional academic programs and administrative and support services for UAS. The Cabinet consists of the members of the Executive Council, the School Deans, Directors (Library Services, Information Technology Services, Financial Aid, Personnel, Student Services and Enrollment Management, Facilities, Budget, Development and Alumni Relations, Institutional Research, Marketing and Media Relations, Admissions/Student Success, Auxiliary Services), Registrar, Assistants to Executive Management and Administrative Managers.
Campus Advisory Councils:These advisory councils offer guidance to each campus unit and serve as a link for public constituencies to the Board of Regents. The Chancellor appoints no fewer than seven and no more than fifteen persons to each council in Juneau, Sitka, and Ketchikan, with membership broadly representative of constituencies served by the campus. The powers, duties, and responsibilities of each Campus Advisory Council are contained in Board of Regents’ Policy 02.04.400.
