The purpose of the Vocational and Technical Education Scholarship is to provide funding for tuition and coursework-related expenses for students seeking to continue their post-secondary education in a certificate or associate degree program. Scholarships are open to any resident of Southeast Alaska who supports conservation of healthy fish and wildlife populations and their habitats; fair and equitable fishing and hunting rights; friendly and respectful relations between sportsmen and State, Federal and private landowners; and education in fish and wildlife conservation and adherence to hunting and fishing regulations and firearms safety.

Demonstrate: 1) financial need; 2) likelihood of remaining in or returning to Alaska upon completion of training or coursework; 3) educational achievements and goals; 4) character and citizenship; and 5) commitment to conservation.
