The UA Scholars Program offers an $11,000 scholarship to the top 10 percent of the graduates from qualified Alaskan high schools each year. High schools designate students at the end of their junior year based on their academic standing.
Scholars receive Award Letters during their senior year, which must be returned to the program administrator to complete the Award process.
The scholarship must begin within 16 months of high school graduation. This means the Scholar may take time off after graduation to work, travel or explore before enrolling at UAS. Once enrolled, the Scholar will receive $1,375 per semester for eight semesters, provided he or she remains in good standing.
