At the University of Alaska Southeast, student housing is a community within a community! We encourage all students to consider the advantages of living in on-campus housing.
UAS on-campus housing is:
- convenient
- competitively priced
- positive social interaction
- a community of people in a similar situation and lifestyle
- a supportive environment that supports your educational pursuits!
UAS offers several types of student housing that provide a safe living and learning environment that enables and encourages students' academic goals:
Banfield Hall is a primarily freshman residence facility with resident suites; 2 shared double rooms (4 students total), a common bathroom and entry vestibule. Each resident suite has a small refrigerator and microwave. Banfield residents are required to purchase a meal plan.
Apartment housing (choice of single level or townhouse-style) is available to sophomores and above. It features single bedrooms with shared living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom and storage (a total of 4 students per apartment). Apartment residents have the option to purchase full or partial meal plans, however neither is required.
Family apartments are also available on a limited basis and are two-bedroom with kitchen, living room, one bathroom, dining room and storage.
To apply for UAS Student Housing (all types), download the housing application from the Housing Web site.
