Who we are
We are a student-driven club, committed to promoting cultural diversity and the aesthetic of travel at UAS. We come from many parts of the US and the world, and can never get the travel bug out of our system.
Juneau is our launch pad, and the world is our campus!
What we do
Through our activities we try to build an awareness of global issues, cultural diversity and international study, work, and travel opportunities. We work closely with the UAS Academic Exchange Office, as well as with community organizations focused on international affairs (such as Juneau World Affairs Council and the Juneau International Relations Advisory Committee).
During the academic year we:
- bring in speakers
- highlight international students
- cook delicious international dinners
- show great foreign films
- organize worldly festivals, fair trade sales, and other events.
- Most of all, we love to just meet and chat about our own travel experiences, culture shocks, and future plans.
How to join
Anyone may be a member of the club and guests are welcome! Just contact the Academic Exchange Office, or the current Club President and ask to be put on the GC email list.
