Clinical Laboratory Scientist
The registered medical technologist (also known as a clinical laboratory scientist) is an allied health professional who is qualified by academic and practical training to provide service in clinical laboratory science.
Clinical Laboratory Technician
The registered medical laboratory technician (also known as a clinical laboratory technician) is an allied health professional who is qualified by academic and practical training to provide service in clinical laboratory science.
Clinical Assistant
Clinical assistants perform basic laboratory testing in medical laboratories, working under the supervision of a medical technologist, medical laboratory technician or pathologist. A clinical assistant collects and processes blood specimens and performs test procedures in chemistry, hematology, microbiology and urinalysis
Certificate of Completion in Phlebotomy
Phlebotomists obtain blood and other samples for laboratory testing. They establish professional relationships with their patients, collect and prepare specimens, maintain collection areas and equipment, and perform record keeping duties. This two-course non-transcripted certificate of completion prepares students to sit for national certification exams in phlebotomy. The phlebotomy program is offered both on campus and by distance delivery.
