UAS/UAA Nursing
UAA-UAS partnership program that provides students with a closely related mix of theory and clinical practice; students gain experience in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and community agencies. Successful graduates are able to sit for the NCLEX (RN nurse licensure exam). Cohorts are scheduled in Juneau and Ketchikan on even numbered years preceding cohort years, and in Sitka on odd numbered years.

UAA-UAS partnership program that provides students with a closely related mix of theory and clinical practice; students gain experience in hospitals, nursing homes, clinics, and community agencies. Successful graduates are able to sit for the NCLEX (RN nurse licensure exam). Cohorts are scheduled in Juneau and Ketchikan on even numbered years, and in Sitka on odd numbered years. Admission is a point system based on completion of pre and co requisite courses and experience in a certified health care field such as CNA training. Eight to ten students are admitted to the outreach programs every 2 years.
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Radiologic Technology »
UAA-UAS partnership program with UAA's Medical Imaging Sciences. Prepares students for careers as entry level Radiological Technicians. Students receive an Associate of Applied Science degree and are eligible to apply for certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). This program is offered in Juneau and Ketchikan beginning Fall of even numbered years. Cohort numbers are determined by clinical space.
Certificate in Pre-Radiologic Technology Qualifications (CPRTQ) »
The Certificate in Pre-Radiologic Technology Qualifications (CPRTQ) prepares students to enter professional medical imaging programs, the graduates of which sit for a national radiologic technology exam. The certificate includes a base in the university’s GER options in communication, computation and human relations. The CPRTQ includes all pre-requisites for entry into and all program co-requisites for completion of most A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology programs.
