I'm getting lots of messages in Russian and I don't speak Russian, what can I do to block these?^
By default, all languages go through the same filtering. So please try using the same techniques that you would use for English (or other language). If these do not seem to be helping, try blocking all messages in Cyrillic (i.e. Russian alphabet).
- Point your web browser to: http://antis.uas.alaska.edu
- Sign in
- Click on Anti-Spam, Anti-Phishing (along left)
- Click on Foreign Languages
- Uncheck the Adhere to corporate defaults box
- Find the Cyrillic language in the list, and bullet the Block All column
- Click the Apply Changes button.

The Anti-Spam server itself receives regular spam definition updates to keep the system in line with the most recent spam techniques. It may be that the messages you are seeing have not yet been added through that update. To add specific rules to your profile, follow these steps:
- Point your web browser to: http://antis.uas.alaska.edu
- Sign in
- Click on Anti-Spam Techniques
- You should already be on the People item
- Click on the Blocked tab
- Click the Add button
- Type in the address in the provided field
- Click Add to complete the addition
- Check for the confirmation message in the upper left of the settings.
Messages that are sent to you from that particular address will now be regarded as spam and filtered according to your settings.
