Bicycle Policy
Bicycles must not be stored in individual rooms or in any part of Banfield Hall including hallways and lounges. Bicycle racks are provided outside. Bicycles are to be properly secured to an approved bike rack, and may not be stored on apartment porches, the Banfield entrance bridge, or on the lawns or grounds outside the housing facilities. Apartment residents may store bicycles in the storage room within their apartments but may not keep them elsewhere in the house, particularly in carpeted areas.
Bicycle owners are asked to register their bicycle with the Residence Life Office, at the Lodge Desk, so that ownership of the bicycle is on record. UAS is not responsible for bicycles or other personal property stored on campus. Having a record of ownership may be helpful in settling disputes related to theft or vandalism. At the end of thirty days after the end of any semester, unregistered bicycles will be removed from the racks and donated to a non-profit organization or the UAS Bicycle Club.
