Human Communications Emphasis

Venietia

The student pursuing a B.L.A. with emphasis in communications will have the opportunity to explore one of three major areas: 1) Composition and Creative Writing, 2) Literature, or 3) Human Communications. Each track provides a contextual focus for the student and receives strong support for the other two areas as well as a fourth-"other communications" which includes theatre, journalism, and world languages.

Careers in business, government, social, health and human services, public relations, as well as dramatic and performing arts and graduate school in communication, English, communication education, business, theatre or law are options available to the highly motivated student. Students pursuing the MAT Secondary will want to consult with the appropriate advisor as they pursue this degree to ensure acquiring the necessary content credits for future credentialing.
