What is iTeach?
iTeach is a five day intensive workshop designed for eLearning faculty – teaching either distance delivered or technology enhanced courses with a significant online component. Faculty and adjunct faculty who are interested in working on a specific course that they plan to offer in Fall 2012 or Spring 2013 will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, informational showcases, and will have individual worktime with a team of instructional designers available for support. Plan to make significant strides in developing your course or converting it for delivery in the Blackboard Learning Management System.
iTeach will run May 13 through 17th for 5 days, ~8 hours a day. Lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided to keep your energy up! Because of the intensity of the program, only a limited group will be able to participate.
Open to all UAS faculty
Faculty and adjunct faculty who teach UAS courses are eligible to apply. Applicants will work on a specific eLearning course that they plan to offer in Fall 2103 or Spring 2014. Participants who are accepted must commit to the entire 5 days of work. A $500 stipend is awarded for full participation. Travel and lodging expenses will be provided for faculty from outside of Juneau.
Note – if you cannot commit to the full five day workshop, there will be some sessions focusing on Blackboard that will be open to a larger group of attendees.
