  • iTeach2 Sitka, June 2-6, 2014

Please submit application by Monday March 24 if possible.

iTeach workshops will be held on both the Juneau campus and Sitka campuses. The Juneau workshop will be a basic iTeach for which all UAS eLearning faculty can apply.  The Sitka iTeach2 will be a more advanced workshop for those who have participated in previous iTeach workshops and have more extensive eLearning experience.

Each is a 5 day intensive workshop for faculty from all UAS campuses.  Stipends, travel and lodging expenses will be provided.  The application form can be found below.

What is iTeach?

iTeach is a five day intensive workshop designed for eLearning faculty – teaching either distance delivered or technology enhanced courses with a significant online component. Faculty and adjunct faculty who are interested in working on a specific course that they plan to offer in Fall 2014 or Spring 2015 will have the opportunity to participate in workshops, informational showcases, and will have individual worktime with a team of instructional designers available for support. Plan to make significant strides in developing your course or converting it for delivery in the Blackboard Learning Management System.

Each workshop will run 5 days, ~8 hours a day at the dates indicated above. Lunch, coffee, and snacks will be provided to keep your energy up! Because of the intensity of the program, only a limited group will be able to participate.

Open to all UAS faculty

Faculty and adjunct faculty who teach UAS courses are eligible to apply. Applicants will work on a specific eLearning course that they plan to offer in Fall 2014 or Spring 2015. Participants who are accepted must commit to the entire 5 days of work. A $500 stipend is awarded for full participation. Travel and lodging expenses will be provided for faculty from outside of the workshop locations.
