Angela is a UAS senior who is working as a research technician in professor Sherry Tamone’s lab on the isolation and characterization of an Insulin-like Androgenic gland (IAG) hormone from Tanner crabs. She is using reverse-transcriptase PCR to isolate the gene for IAG and will perform qPCR to quantify differences in gene expression between adolescent and adult males.
Angela produced a poster for her project for the 2013 Spring Symposium.
