It's important to make reservations early for the multimedia
equipment students need for academic success.
Laptops are in high demand and early reservations are essential
to getting one when you need it. Laptops are only checked
out on a twenty four hour basis and you can only have one
reservation at a time. Therefore its best to create presentations
in the computer lab then check out a laptop for the final
testing and actual presentation.
All our cameras are digital; both video and still cameras.
Cameras are checked out on a twenty four hour basis on Monday – Thursday,
and on weekends from Friday to 9:00 am on Monday. Cameras
are another item that students can have only one reservation
at a time, so it's important to plan and reserve early. One
thing to be aware of is we do not provide the media for our
video cameras. Video cameras require a Hi-8 or Mini DV tape
and may be purchased at the book store or a local Juneau
store. |
Checkout items for use
in the lab:
- LaCie Hexa Media Drive: will read CompactFlash, Microdrive,
SD Memory Card, SmartMedia, Memory Stick, and MultiMediaCard.
- Nikon
Slide Scanner: will scan negatives and includes a
bulk slide scanner attachment.
