Camtasia Studio

This program allows you to capture the action and sound from any part of the Windows desktop and save it as a standard AVI movie file or streaming video file. You can create streaming tutorials, lessons, and presentations for the web using this product. Your audience can view the streaming presentation using RealPlayer or Macromedia Flash Player. Menus may also be created allowing the content to be burned to a CD for distribution. Documentation

Breeze

Breeze uses a plug-in that that is integrated into Powerpoint on your desktop. To start you can either create a presentation from scratch or use a completed one. Your may insert links to web pages to provide more information then a Powerpoint slide offers. The Breeze plug-in will allow you to add audio to your presentation and then publish it to the server. The server will email you the server link. The link can then be placed under Resources in UASonline for your students. They will be able to view it through a browser with a Flash plug-in.

Real Producer Basic

 

Real Producer Basic allows the instructor to create an audio recording and stream it from your web page. Download the free (but limited) version from Real Networks.

SnagIt

This is a screen-capturing program that allows you to capture images, text, and video from your Windows desktop. SnagIt Studio is a drawing tool that allows you to enhance, modify and mark up your captures. You can create and save your own custom annotation objects or use already available annotations such as arrows, stamps, clipart, callout boxes and sticky notes. Highlight a portion of your image, or add frames and borders. Overlay images to create a collage or to print multiple images on a single page. Documentation

VeMail Vemail is freeware that lets you record and send voice messages instead of text using ordinary email. Download

PowerPoint

PowerPoint 2000/XP allows you to save your presentation as a web page. It is a simple to use feature that allows you to select or use all slides from a presentation to create a web page as well as easily add slide navigation controls.
