ITS can now migrate your exsting schedule to your new account. Please submit the Calendar Manager Migration form to start the process. - 2/12/2008
UASHome
The transition of UASHome documents is a manual process. Please follow the below steps to move your files from one account to another.
Email & Anti-Spam
IT Services has created Mail Mover to activate your new account and transfer all existing mail messages to the new account. It will also ensure that any mail sent to the old address will deliver to the new account. Afteward you will need to change your settings in any email client that you use, instuctions for Thunderbird & Netscape are provided in Mail Mover.
The Anti-Spam service is separate from the email server. Consequently, you will need tore-configure your custom settingsfor your new account.
Desktop Files and Settings
IT technicians will assist you to move your files and setting to their new account. This process will include a rebuild of your computer to include the latest software.
Since we have been unable to complete all of the rebuilds during the course of the project, ITS is developing a process to transition data on campus computers. Details will be provided by the beginning of March. - 2/12/2008
Departmental File Services
By running Mail Mover for email (above), IT services ensures that the new accounts have access to any departmental file services. There may be specific shares or folders that require additional work; in those cases, please request
Systems that require no action
The following systems are already using the UA Username and require no action other than activating your account by setting the password in ELMO.
Banner
To date, Statewide IT staff do not plan to transition legacy accounts in Banner to the new UA Username. Staff should continue to use legacy JN or JF accounts.
