Why doesn't the WebMeet link open a session?^
A number of people are being caught by the security in Internet Explorer.
After clicking the WebMeet link, there may be a small yellow bar that appears above the navigation bar for the course.
It indicates that the download was blocked and to click here for further instructions. Click the bar and choose Download File... Internet Explorer will then return to the course homesite. Click the Webmeet link again and it should then open the session.
To fix IE from blocking this download, please change the Internet Options (details from Elluminate's website).

Why is the moderator listed with the name of the course instead of their personal name?^
This limitation on the number and name of moderators is expected to change with an upcoming release of the software. The current version of eLive requires that a course is moderated by a single predefined account. Once the moderator has been set, it cannot be changed. This creates difficulties for classes where there are multiple instructors, or where the instructor may change. By setting the moderator name to the name of the course, any user with access to the Instructor Tools may manage the meeting room.
If a faculty member wants to moderate a course using their personal name:
- Connect to the WebMeeting as the moderator
- Go to Instructor Tools and connect a second time as a participant.
- Using the first connection, grant your participant account moderator access.
- Close the first WebMeeting connection.
