Anti-Spam Deployment

12/15/2004 - Sent notice to campus announcing that the pilot was available for testers ahead of schedule (target was beginning of Spring semester).

12/15/2004 - Helpdesk discussed steps needed and drafted a timeline for being able to turn on Anti-S for all UAS email accounts: Draft Plan (WORD, FA04)

Account Automation Change

1/5/2005 - Helpdesk discussed how to prepare campuses for the change.

Current Outcomes

New faculty and staff (priority)

  • Phone call to department admin supports and alerting them of the change (1/6) - Completed!
  • Distribute "Welcome document" to admin supports to distribute to faculty and staff (1/6)

All faculty and staff - email distributed talking about the change, target noon 1/7.

New students (ie. starting this spring) - distribute a "How computer accounts work" handout (1/14)

Fisheries, Nursing, Social Work, Breadloaf - phone G Hazelton, R Sewell, H Brocious, E Clark/T McKenna to alert about the change, followup with an email detailing the new information that is needed for creating accounts. 1/14

Alumni - contact Mona to document the process. Bring back to team for decision. 1/14

Fairbanks and Anchorage Guests - No communication needed as there is not a consistent method of receiving requests. Will be dealt with by Helpdesk on case-by-case basis. Need to communicate process to Heather.

Students before this spring - no need to communicate.

Online-Portfolio

1/6/2005 Helpdesk began learning the prep version at : uascentral/onlinetest Notes (WORD, SP05)

1/7/2005 Helpdesk completed deployment plan. (WORD, SP05)

Objective: Students will integrate the online portfolio into their suite of academic tools, such as email, word processing, and UAS Online.
