To Schedule an Appointment
Please call the Student Resource Center at 796-6000 and ask to set up an appointment.
What to Do When it is a Mental Health Emergency:
During UAS regular business hours you may contact the Counseling office directly by checking in with the Student Resource front desk and informing them that it is an emergency.
The following services are available twenty four hours a day, seven days a week: Call 911 or visit Bartlett Regional Hospital Emergency Services, (907) 796-8900, where a mental health professional will meet with you.
If you are worried about someone else:
The Counseling Services Clinicians, Margie Thomson, LMSW and Becky Iverson, LCSW, is available for consultation with students, faculty, and staff who are concerned about a student. You may contact her by phone, email or in person to discuss your concerns and help with assessing how best to respond. This may include providing you with ideas for referring the student for professional care.
