How do I get started?
If you want to take courses for personal and professional enrichment, UAS Ketchikan is an open enrollment campus and anyone can register for classes without formal admission. Courses taken as a non-degree seeking student can later be applied toward a degree.If you are registering for 6 credits or more, you still need to take placement assessments at the Learning Center. Contact the registration office at 228-4511 for assistance in signing up.

Degree seeking students will need to:
- Complete an application for admission (this can be done with a paper application or online).
- Apply for Financial Aid.
- Take math, English and computer assessments at the Learning Center.
- Register in person at the admissions office or by phone at 907-228-4511.
- Pay course fees.
- Attend your course(s).
