Non-Degree Seeking

Students are taking courses for personal and professional enrichment, not to earn a degree.

1) Decide on the course(s) you would like to take. The application for admission is NOT required.
Courses taken as a non-degree seeking student can be applied toward a degree later.

2) Assessments
If you are registering for 6 credits or more you will be required to show transcripts of previous college-level work or take placement tests at the Learning Center.

3) Complete a registration form
Register in person at the admissions office in the Ziegler Building or fax a registration form to 225-3624. If you have taken University of Alaska courses before you can register on-line at http://uaonline.alaska.edu/

4) Pay course fees
Payment must be received before courses begin in order to retain your registration. Contact the Business Office to verify payment dates or to establish a payment plan.

5) Attend your course(s)

Limited financial aid is available for non-degree seeking students. Many financial aid deadlines are made early; contact the Ketchikan campus Student Services Coordinator as soon as possible (907) 225-4508 for more information.
