Electronic Book Collections

• ebrary - More than 23,000 full-text electronic books in the subject areas of: Business & Economics, Computers & Technology, Humanities, Education, Social & Behavioral Sciences, and over 800 titles in the Spanish Language. In addition, ebrary features maps searchable within the Advanced search screen.

• netLibrary - Over 6,000 titles available for reading, searching, and note-taking online.  Once you get to the netLibrary site, it should welcome you to the University of Alaska Southeast ebook Collection. Search by author, title, subject, keywords and search within the full text of the ebook. Create your own account with netLibrary to "check out" ebooks.

• National Academies Press - A collection of electronic book titles for purchase, many of which (2,500 titles) are available to read free online. Browse subject categories or search through titles or full text.

• Online science and medical textbooks - A collection of 600 ebooks organized by medical specialty. This site was created in an effort to free access to scientific knowledge away from medical publishers and onto the Internet. Some free journals and an alerting service to newly added materials are also available.
