UAS Ketchikan Campus Library
The primary mission of the UAS Ketchikan Campus Library is to provide UAS students and faculty, without regard to their geographic location, with a full range of library services and resources. The Library supports the instructional programs of the University and strives to meet the information and research needs of the Ketchikan community. The Library offers access to high quality resources, services and gateways to information.
University of Alaska Anchorage Consortium Library
The Consortium Library collection consists of over 710,000 bound volumes and government documents, subscriptions to more than 3,400 journals, an extensive sheet music collection, and a non-print collection. In addition, the library subscribes to more than 80 on-line indexes and some full-text databases. Most of these are also available to patrons via the World Wide Web. The library is a select depository library for federal publications and a complete depository for Alaska State documents. There are special collections on Alaska and the Arctic as well as a growing collection of archives and manuscripts. The library also tains an extensive health sciences collection to support its Health Sciences Information Service. Contains additional links to information on the University of Alaska Anchorage.
University of Alaska Fairbanks Elmer E. Rasmuson Library
The Rasmuson Library contains more than 1.75 million items, and is the largest library in the state of Alaska. The library is comprised of the library as well as the BioSciences Library, which is located in the Arctic Health Research building. The library has one of the world's finest collections of Alaska and Polar Regions (APR) materials including rare books, photographs, motion pictures, and oral history tapes. Auke Bay Laboratory
Through a cooperative arrangement, UAS students and faculty have access to the collections of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Auke Bay Fisheries Lab Library, located at 11305 Glacier Highway in Auke Bay. Visit the NOAA Library for access to the online catalog.
Northwest Alaska Fisheries Science Centers Library
The library supports the Northwest Fisheries Science Center's 35 research programs, as well as the agency's Northwest Regional Office and the Alaska Fisheries Science Center at the Sand Point facility in Seattle. The library collection spans many scientific fields, including: chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, oceanography, marine biology, fisheries science, zoology, ecology, conservation, fisheries management, statistics and mathematics, population dynamics, ecological modeling, aquaculture, seafood technology, technology transfer, and Endangered Species Act issues.
The National Marine Mammal Laboratory Library
The NMML Library consists of approximately 30,000 reprints and over 14,000 volumes of books, journals, and theses, mostly on marine mammals, but with increasing references on oceanography, fisheries, and ecology. The Library has a unique collection of marine mammal literature, some of which can be found nowhere else in the world. By providing you with online links to NOAA's research information, the NMML Library intends to raise public awareness of National Marine Mammal Laboratory facilities, and its commitment to providing users with valuable resources. In addition, this page provides links to other Internet sites pertaining to marine mammals and related topics of interest to researchers and to the general public.
NOAA Seattle Regional Library
The Library supports research in the areas of meteorology, physical and chemical oceanography, geochemistry, atmospheric physics, ocean engineering, mathematics, statistics and computer science. The emphasis of the book and monograph collection is on atmospheric sciences, oceanography, and marine pollution. Special collections in the Library include holdings on Puget Sound and the Rudolph W. Preisendorfer Memorial Collection, an 800 volume library of classic works in mathematics and statistics. The Library also has a complete collection of monographs from the National Science Foundation Israel Program for Scientific Translations.
