Circulation Desk
The Circulation Desk is located at the entrance to the Egan Library for easy drop off and check out of materials and issuing of library cards. Stop there to pick up holds, interlibrary loans, and reserve items.
Policies listed here apply to all UAS students (including distance students), faculty, staff and Juneau local users with CCLIC library card, unless otherwise noted.
Checkout Times
Most circulating books as well as musical CDs from the general collection may be checked out for 28 days. Videos may be checked out for 7 days. Reference books, maps, and periodicals do not circulate and may only be used in the library. Faculty members are eligible for an extended loan period of 45 days or until the end of the semester, if needed, upon request.
Renewals
Materials may be renewed a total of two times. For books, this means two additional 28-day periods, and for videos, two additional 7-day periods. Materials must be brought back to the library for the second renewal. Items may not be renewed if another borrower has requested them.
Checkout Limit
A total of 40 items may be checked out from the CCL libraries at one time, except for videos and DVDs where the limit is 5 items.

All users are responsible for returning materials undamaged by the due date. Users in Juneau may return materials to any CCL library, as our delivery system will return items to the appropriate library.
