Boxley PrintThe mission of the Native & Rural Student Center is to provide quality support services to Native and Rural students which promotes their academic achievement, student retention, and personal success.  The NRSC is a place for students to meet, form friendships, receive academic advising and support, peer mentoring, and is home to two student clubs, Gay Straight Alliance and Wooch.een.

The Center offers staff and support services to promote student success in college through; academic advising and support, assistance with registration, course selection and scheduling, as well as peer advising, mentoring, special orientations.  Additionally, the Center offers opportunities and special events on and off campus to help develop leadership skills in the student members.

The Center provides information on scholarships available to Native students, and referrals to other staff members who can assist students in housing, transportation, financial aid and other services on campus.  The Center also sponsors leadership activities, scholarship fairs and other gatherings where student participation is highly encouraged.
