PITAAS Summer Institute
Participants in the program who are first time freshman at UAS are required to attend the two week PITAAS Summer Institute in August. The Summer Institute is designed to help students make a positive transition into college. During the institute students take courses in math, English, college orientation and Tlingit language and culture. They also participate in team-building and leadership activities around Juneau and get to move into the dorms early.
