Your home uses energy every day, all day long, maybe year ‘round. Explore strategies that are successfully changing building practices and systems to make your home more affordable and energy efficient.

UAS Associate Professor Marquam George coordinates the construction technology program and applied building research and technology with tribal housing and industry professionals. He serves as research committee chair for the Cold Climate Housing Research Center, a regional project manager for the Building America program in Alaska, and a committee member of ASHRAE 62.2, Ventilation and Acceptable Indoor Air Quality in Low-Rise Residential Buildings.  George also rates the energy efficiency of homes for the state of Alaska.

The Evening at Egan lecture series is held every Friday at 7 p.m. through November 21, 2008. The October 24^th lecture is, Wild About Harry; The Myth of Truman in the Age of Bush with Dr. David Noon, Assistant Prof. of History, UAS.
