Campus and Community Open House: Presentation of UAS Draft Master Plan
Date of Press Release: September 12, 2012
The Master Plan is developed based on criteria set by the UA Board of Regents, and makes recommendations for the physical development of the UAS campuses (Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka) over the next ten years. The recommendations are based on data collected on current and projected enrollment trends, housing, space utilization, room scheduling, building conditions, sustainability, landscape, parking and circulation, and other space needs for Universities based on peer institutions and national standards.
The Minneapolis-based team has worked closely with UAS over the past seven months and has received lots of feedback from campus and community groups, including Student Government, Faculty Senate, Staff Council and Community council members, as well as many individuals.
