24, 1999 "ThereÍs a shortage of health care workers essentially statewide and itÍs becoming worse," according to UAS Associate Dean Gary Bowen. UAS is offering classes this summer to help those wanting to enter the health care field. A class in human anatomy and physiology begins on the UAS Juneau campus June 1, and registration is now open. "Anyone who wants to pursue a career in health education needs this course," Bowen said. The classes will also help students meet prerequisites so they can be admitted to the Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) program this fall. UAS is bringing the Weber State University LPN program to Sitka, Ketchikan and Juneau simultaneously for the 1999-2000 academic year. For information call UAS at 465-6458 -30-
