PUBLIC COMMENT SOUGHT ON UAS REACCREDITATION

The University of Alaska Southeast reaccreditation evaluation takes place this fall. As part of the process, the public is invited to submit comments concerning UAS’s qualifications for reaccreditation.

"Universities undergo a comprehensive review every ten years by their accreditation organization and this is our year," according to UAS Provost Robbie Stell. "An evaluation team will visit the UAS Juneau, Sitka and Ketchikan campuses in mid-October. We invite the public to submit written comments. These public comments will be in addition to a very comprehensive report the university prepares for the evaluators."

UAS is accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges Commission on Colleges. Public comments should be sent directly to the Commission before September 13.
