JUST 100 TICKETS LEFT FOR TUXEDO JUNCTION/MILLENNIU BALL ON NEW YEARS EVE

"We only have less than 100 seats left in the ballroom," Tish Griffin says of the New YearÍs Eve Tuxedo Junction/Millennium Ball event. Proceeds will be used to fund UAS scholarships.

Entertainment includes two main stage shows. At 10 p.m. comedian Cary Long from Athens, Georgia performs, and at 11 p.m. pianist David Paul from Chicago will present a tribute to Frank Sinatra. There will be two dance bands playing throughout the evening, and participants will also be able to watch live video of New YearÍs events from around the world. At midnight, 10,000 balloons will be dropped.

The Millennium Ball takes place from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. on New Years at Centennial Hall. Tickets for reserved seating in the ballroom are $100 per person and are available from the UAS cashier on the Auke Lake campus. Orders may be placed over the phone by calling 465-6267.
