Conference to Focus on Family in Literature and the Writing Process Authors, poets, a playwright, and educators gather on the UAS campus April 7 and 8 for a Humanities and Communications conference that focuses on family in literature and the writing process. The free, public conference begins April 7 at 7 p.m. in Egan Library. Theatre in the Rough will present a "Page to Stage" dramatization, and a discussion will follow. On April 8, between 9 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., a series of presentations and panels will be held in Egan Library. Panelists include Jim Hale, poet and teacher; Helena Fagan, educator and poet; Susie Fowler, author; David Hunsaker, playwright and screenwriter; Andy Hope, Tlingit poet and writer; and members of the UAS communications faculty.
