College Goal Sunday and Financial Planning Monday

Juneau-Douglas High School will play host to Alaska College Goal Sunday Feb.13 at 2 P.M.. UAS financial aid professionals will join their colleagues from around the country in providing help to prospective college students to complete their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Parents and prospective college students should bring current income information, such as their most recent completed tax return and W-2 form to assist in the process.

Then Monday evening at 6 P.M. in the UAS Egan Classroom wing UA Vice President of Finance, Jim Lynch; Smith Barney Investment counselor Peter Jurasz, and Jeff Southard of Northwest Education Loan will discuss long-term and short-term strategies for paying for college. If you are involved in college planning, you can’t afford to miss these free opportunities to get started on sure financial footing.
