National Best Seller Jo-Ann Mapson to speak at UAS

Alaskan writer Jo-Ann Mapson, author of the national best sellers Hank & Chloe, The Wilder Sisters, and Bad Girl Creek will present a public reading of her work at the UAS Egan Lecture Hall on Wednesday, Nov. 16th from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

Ms. Mapson will also share her expertise as a writer; discuss her craft, and the process of publishing. Ms. Mapson is the author of eight books of mainstream fiction including Blue Rodeo, which was made into a CBS television movie starring Kris Kristofferson and Ann Margret. She lives in Anchorage and teaches fiction in the Masters of Fine Arts Program in Writing at the University of Alaska Anchorage.

Jo-Ann Mapson’s visit is the first in the UAS Humanities Department Writers/Speakers series.
