December 8 , 2005 The mission of NASPA is to provide professional development and advocacy for student affairs administrators who share the responsibility for a campus-wide focus on the student experience. Satre has been a long-standing member of NASPA and serves as the Alaska State representative on the Board of Directors for the region that includes seven states and two Canadian provinces. "This award is a huge recognition for Tish from her peers," said Jeannie McIsaac-Tracy, the Region V award chairperson. "She has given a lot of time and service to NASPA over the years, and has been instrumental in getting other Alaska schools involved and hosting the statewide Alaska conference." The Fred Turner Outstanding Service award recipient is determined based upon continuous service to NASPA for ten or more years, evidence of significant leadership of NASPA, and evidence of ongoing support for and significant contribution to the advancement of NASPA. "I appreciate the support of Paul Kraft and Chancellor Pugh whom approved my work on the Board, and for the professional recognition from my peers," said Satre. Contact: -30-
