UAS Program Assessment
The UAS assessment at the degree and certificate program completion level is designed to provide an index of student learning outcomes at or near graduation. Follow-up surveys for employment or further education such as graduate study are components of many of the program plans. Each assessment plan must include the UAS undergraduate or graduate competencies inclusive of program specific learning outcomes. Vocational programs incorporate or adopt industry standards as the basis for measuring effectiveness, and national or state level testing is available as a tool for gathering important data for these programs. Assessment is most useful when it is a comprehensive, iterative cycle of measuring progress at multiple points in time and uses the resulting data to ultimately implement effective curricular improvements.
