Faculty Development Seminars
The University of Alaska Southeast strategic plan calls for UAS to be the state’s leading liberal arts and distance education institution. The plan commits UAS to “provide all UAS faculty with opportunities to reflect upon and improve teaching and learning.”The UAS Faculty Development Seminars are an effort by UAS faculty and staff to support our faculty colleagues and help them start and continue through their careers with a thorough knowledge of the UAS system and to provide assistance in building teaching skills
Objectives:

Faculty members will understand how to use the instructional technologies available at UAS

Faculty members will know how to identify learning outcomes and evaluate students

Faculty members will practice and improve their teaching skills

Faculty members will know which academic support services are available and where to find them
