Adding: Via UAOnline available during registration period through the first week of the semester or Add/Drop/Change Request form submitted to the Registrar's Office. Instructor signature required after the first week of semester.
Dropping: Via UAOnline available during registration period through the first week of the semester. Add/Drop/Change Request form submitted to the Registrar's Office starting on the second week of the semester. Course will not appear on the transcript.
Withdrawing: Via UAOnline available starting on the 3rd week through the 12th week of the semester or Add/Drop/Change Request form
submitted to the Registrar's Office. Course will appear as a ‘W’ on
transcripts and will not affect the Grade Point Average (GPA).
Auditing: Via UAOnline available during registration period through the first week of the semester or Add/Drop/Change Request form submitted to the Registrar's Office through the second week of the semester.
Credit/No Credit: Option available for undergraduate degree-seeking students only. Add/Drop/Change Request form
submitted to the Registrar’s Office only during the first two weeks of
the semester. One elective may be taken under this option each semester.
Major or minor requirements as well as general education courses are
not allowed under this option. Instructors are not informed if student
chooses this option. Student will be given credit toward graduation if
performed at a level of ‘C’ (2.00) or above and a passing grade will
appears as ‘CR’ on the transcript. If performance falls below that
level, course will not be recorded on the student’s transcript.
Short-Term Courses
Consult the Juneau, Ketchikan or Sitka Short Courses for for prorated dates for Add/Drop/Withdraw.
Adding: Via UAOnline, available during registration period through the first week of the semester or Add/Drop/Change Request form
submitted to the Registrar’s Office prior to the first day of the
short-term class. Instructor signature required after class begins.
Dropping: Add/Drop/Change Request form
submitted to the Registrar’s Office through pro-rated drop date; course
does not appear on the transcript. Dropping short-term courses is only
available via UAOnline through the first week of the semester.
Withdrawing: Add/Drop/Change Request form
submitted to the Registrar’s Office through pro-rated date. Course will
appear as a ‘W’ on transcripts and will not affect the Grade Point
Average (GPA).

Dropping: Allowed prior to the first meeting only via UAOnline available during registration period through the first week of the semester or with Add/Drop/Change Request form submitted to the Registrar's Office. No withdrawal available.
