Read and Send mail with your UAS email account

Go to UAS Messenger Express at http://mail.uas.alaska.edu/

Go to http://mail.uas.alaska.edu

Enter Your UAS username and password.

Your UAS username is two letters (such as "ts" or "ks" or "js" etc.) followed by your initials and sometimes numbers)

If you've forgotten your UAS username or password, go to:
http://www.uas.alaska.edu/elmo/
Enter your birthday and last digits of your SSN and you can retrieve your username and reset your password.

After you've logged in

You'll start in the "Inbox" for your mail.

Unread email will be in boldface.

Click on the underlined link under "Subject" to read an email.

You can't use the "Back" button in your browser.

To get back to the Inbox you will need to use the links on the top of the Messenger Express Window.

Send an email by clicking the Compose button.

Type the email address of the Recipient in the box next to "Add Recipient" then click the "To" button.

Type your Subject and Message Text then click the "Send" button at the top.

Use the button that looks like a paperclip to add an Attachment to your email.

Make sure your mailbox doesn't get too full.

Click on the "Folders" button to see the size of each of your folders. Delete mail and empty your trash to keep your mail account from going over its quota.

If your mailbox goes over its quota you will not be able to send or receive mail.
