UAS Course Description

This course will provide you with an overview of health care systems and the Health Information Management profession.

This is a Web-based course delivered entirely on the Internet using a course management system called Blackboard. 

You will learn:

• data collection standards
• data quality methods
• forms design
• patient record automation and control procedures
• healthcare statistics
• introduction to use of record content in:
  • reimbursement
  • risk management
  • planning

You need:

• to be able to view materials online
• to be able to listen to audio online
• to use the Discussion board-
