This short course reviews the importance of the chemical feed pump in potable water treatment.
It covers the theory of operation of diaphragm chemical feed pumps, the parts of the pump, the chemical feed system (including solution storage tank, associated lines and valves, and electrical controls), pump controls, the procedure for pump calibration, pump maintenance, troubleshooting, and safety.
This is a noncredit training, for Water and Wastewater Operators, which earns 2 continuing education contact hours.
