Math Refresher Courses
Got math problems? New this year to UAS is a 6 week refresher course for students who placed just below the class cut-offs. For $35, compared to $700+ remedial courses, students can refresh themselves, retake the ACCUPLACER and place into a higher-level college credit math class.
This refresher course is not a college credit. It covers topics required for a foundation before you enter college-level math. It is personalized, online content, through ALEKS software, with support through the UAS-Sitka Math Tutor, Stephanie.
This course is for anyone who is interested in refreshing their math skills:
- High school students who want a quick math review before heading to college
- Placement test takers who aren’t happy with their ACCUPLACER score
- Dedicated students who don’t want to spend a whole semester in a remedial course
- Anyone who would like a personalized, adaptive math education
