Strengthening Instructional Services
- Two Academic Technology Facilitators
- Contact all UAS Sitka students to ensure they know how to get started
- Work with students to support their access to course technology
- Support students academically
- Handle early intervention; faculty provide names of students who have not participated or who are struggling
- Facilitators contact students and work to solve whatever is keeping students from being successful
- Host practice sessions for Elluminate Live
- Host sessions for learning study skills
- Send out informative postcards to students
- Close communication between Facilitators and Faculty throughout semester
- Track nature of contacts with students in data base and use data to inform strategy each semester
