Program Structure
Higher level managers need critical thinking, analytical skills, and decision-making ability related to:
- adapting the organization to the external environment;
- managing the internal operations;
- remaining financially viable, i.e., managing the money;
- organizing the system so that it can do these things well;
- getting more than a collection of parts; integrating into a coherent whole.
The sequence of the core courses aim at developing these points.

DEGREE REQUIREMENTS (2011-2012 catalog)
The AB degree requires a minimum of 65 credit hours. A minimum of 35 of these credit hours must be completed in the University of Alaska General Education Requirements. The remaining degree requirements are comprised of 30 credit hours or more in the business program of study. The A.B. degree includes composition, math, and other general education requirements in addition to specific business prerequisite coursework.
