Message from the Dean

Welcome to the UAS School of Management.
Management education is in high demand in Alaska because it develops leaders with knowledge and expertise that has immediate value in the workplace. Employers are continually changing their staffing patterns to respond to shifts in technology, the economy and the political landscape. Succeeding in the Alaskan job market requires that you be creative and sophisticated in your educational choices. UAS has the rigorous, high-quality, and accessible academic programs to meet your educational needs.
Our School’s undergraduate programs include business-related degrees with emphasis areas in management, accounting, marketing, information systems and computing/networking technologies. At the graduate level we offer master’s degrees in business and public administration. Courses are taught by full-time faculty on the Juneau and Ketchikan campuses and by dedicated adjunct faculty that are practicing professionals in our region. The School’s faculty members work closely with private, public and nonprofit organizations across Alaska to bring the latest management concepts, technologies and administrative issues directly into the classroom.
I encourage you to find out more about our School's programs on this web site. As you will see, many of our programs are available online and are designed to meet the needs of part-time students. Please contact one of our advisors to discuss your career interests and learn how UAS can help you achieve your goals.
The opportunities have never been better!
